  Glutathione is a tripeptide made up of three amino acids: cysteine, glutamate, and glycine. It is produced in the body by the liver and is found in almost every cell in the body. Glutathione plays a number of important roles in the body, including acting as an antioxidant, supporting the immune system, and helping to detoxify harmful substances. In terms of fertility, research has suggested that low levels of glutathione may be associated with decreased fertility in both men and women. In men, low levels of glutathione have been linked to poor sperm quality, including low sperm count and motility.
